El Reducto Beach is only 2 miutes walking distance from your hotel. Right in the centre of Arrecife in the east of Lanzarote, we find El Reducto Beach. On over half a kilometre of fine golden sand lies the best beach in the island’s capital city. The calm sea is sheltered by natural reefs, making it safe for children. Along the lively seafront promenade—with the characteristic coconut trees making it even more unique and appealing—are shops, cafés and restaurants that make it easy to combine a perfect day of beach and leisure.

Looking towards the Atlantic from the bay of Arrecife, in the northeast of Lanzarote, standing tall as it has been for centuries is the Castle of San Gabriel. Built to defend the island from pirate attacks, it is today an obligatory visit in the capital of Lanzarote. It can be accessed by two bridges, the oldest, the Puente de las Bolas, together with the castle forms one of the picture postcards of Arrecife. This is an area not to be missed when visiting the town.

The Archeology Museum of Lanzarote brings us through the origins of the people from Lanzarote valuing its rich ethnographic heritage. The museum is located in a unique building in the Canary Islands due to its architectural features.
