The beach is very well kept and the sand is nice and firm underfoot, even 50 metres or more out in the shallow sea it is good footing.

There is a Road Train that runs for most of the distance between Arenal and Can Pastilla, approx. 3.5 miles and has 44 stops.

El Arenal is situated along the central south coast of Majorca, at the eastern end of a 6km stretch of beach known as Playa de Palma, approximately 10km east of the capital Palma, and at its nearest point, some 5km from the runway of the Son Sant Joan.

The Basilica of Saint Francis of Assisi is the mother church of the Roman Catholic Order of Friars Minor Conventual in Assisi, a town in the Umbria region in central Italy, where Saint Francis was born and died.
